No operation / No power
Is the battery flat? Try to recharge it.
Are the contacts between the battery and the atomiser clean? Try wiping with either a dry cloth or a cloth with a little alcohol on it.
Do other batteries work? Try various combinations of battery and atomiser to isolate which one has the fault.
If the problem is an atomiser, try carefully pulling out slightly the center contact (this can get pressed in too far and not spring back over time). A wood toothpick carefully inserted slightly into center hole is one way to prise the center contact up, that is out, a little.
If this also does not help, test the atomiser with a multimeter set to resistance; there should be continuity between the center contact and the outer contact - if not, then the atomiser is dead and needs to be replaced. The resistance should be no more than about 5 ohms.

Rinsing out a disliked flavor from an atomiser
Try holding the atomiser under a running tap for a while; not on full blast though. With the water-in at the bridge/cart end.
Quite a bit of juice gets beyond the wick and collects near the battery connector.
Alternatively, use a finger to cover the battery end of the atomiser and half fill with water or alcohol (such as vodka, EverClear or iso-propyl alcohol). Then cover other end with thumb and shake gently every so often for a minute or two. Rinse and repeat.
After, do a final rinse using finger and thumb method with distilled water (not essential), shake dry and blow out (from battery end). If can't wait for the atty to dry, proceed as usual by adding some juice, but it may take a few tries over some minutes for the atty to boil off remaining water from the heater coil core.Â

Stuck Automatic Battery
Those automatic batteries that detect the air-flow to switch on can get stuck if juice gets inside. This is not an easy situation to correct but it can be worth trying the following. But first make sure that the battery is not structurally damaged and the air hole is air tight; if you cannot blow any air through the battery, it's ok to proceed.
Insert a little alcohol or warm water (preferably distilled) into the connector end using syringe; if the space is completely filled, take out a little bit so that there is both liquid and air inside. Now, holder the end closed with a finger, shake it a bit periodically for a few minutes, empty and repeat a few times. Finally, shake dry and leave connector-side down on a paper towel to drain out any remaining liquid for half an hour or so. Then leave horizontally for a further hour to fully dry.
Be careful not to poke the syringe in too far as it could damage the switch that lies only a short distance behind the opening.
Do not immerse the whole battery in liquid as liquid can sometimes enter through the cap end and reach the lithium cell inside.
